Morning Task List vs Morning Routine
Do you have a morning routine? If you said yes, I need you to pause for a second because there's a good chance you actually have a morning task list, not a morning routine. And there's a huge difference. If you're waking up and immediately emptying the dishwasher, packing lunches, making breakfast for everyone else, and walking the dog, you're starting your day in service to others while pulling from your own energy stores. By the time you're "done" with your morning, you're already feeling drained instead of energized.
How you start your day has a direct impact on how your entire day goes. So let's fix this and get you a real morning routine that actually serves YOU.
Figure out if you have a routine or a task list
A morning task list is full of activities that could live on your to-do list: emptying dishwashers, feeding people, walking dogs. These things are productive-looking, but they're pulling from your energy. A real morning routine includes activities that wouldn't make your to-do list, aren't in service to others, and actually fuel you instead of drain you. Someone looking at your morning routine might think you're being "unproductive," but these activities are what allow you to launch into your day feeling great.
Brainstorm what actually relaxes you
Spend just two or three minutes thinking about activities that make you feel good and fill you up. And listen, this doesn't have to be quiet meditation. Maybe putting on your favorite dance music and dancing it out for five minutes completely relaxes you. Maybe it's a brisk 10-minute walk. Maybe it's reading for five minutes with your coffee. The key is finding what works for YOUR personality and what genuinely re-energizes you.
Start with just five minutes
Pick one thing from your brainstorm list and commit to getting up five minutes earlier to do it for one full week. That's it. Five minutes. If you want to try reading, great. If you want to walk around the block, perfect. Test drive different activities if you want, but stick with whatever you choose for the whole week and notice how the rest of your day shifts when you start with something that serves you first.
When you start your day with even five minutes of something that truly serves you, everything changes. Instead of hitting the ground running, already feeling overwhelmed, you get to show up for others from a place where you're not already exhausted or irritable. You're not asking for much here, just five minutes to fill your own cup before you start pouring into everyone else's. And trust me, as your life changes, you can always adjust your routine. The important thing is learning to prioritize starting your day feeling like your best self.

What Most Entrepreneurs Don't Know About Tracking Business Data
You've heard you need to track your KPIs, so you set up your dashboard and started monitoring the numbers. But most entrepreneurs are tracking metrics that don't actually tell them if their business is moving forward. There's a specific reason why your data isn't helping you make decisions, and it has nothing to do with how much you're tracking.
In this video, I'm sharing the one question every KPI should answer, how to work backwards from your goals to identify what actually matters, and the simple framework that separates useful data from vanity metrics. You'll also learn what to do with the data once you have it, because tracking alone changes nothing!
