The 15-Minute Weekly Habit That Keeps Digital Chaos Away
Let me guess. You can spot a messy kitchen counter from across the room, but your phone has 47,000 unorganized photos and your email inbox makes you want to cry.
I get it! Physical clutter screams at us. Digital clutter? It hides like a sneaky little gremlin until suddenly you can't find that one important photo or your computer takes five minutes to boot up.
The good news? You don't need a weekend digital detox or some complicated system. You just need 15-20 minutes once a week to keep the digital chaos from taking over your life. Here's exactly what I do every Friday to stay on top of it all.
Give your photos the boot (or the album).
Scroll through the week's photos and delete the random ones you don't need. You know, like that picture of the grocery list you texted your husband or the 47 attempts to get the perfect shot of your coffee. For the keepers, spend two minutes sorting them into albums. Trust me, Future You will thank you when you're not scrolling through thousands of photos looking for that one cute pic from last month.
Clean out your email like you're Marie Kondo.
Go through your sent folder and delete anything you don't need to keep. Then empty your trash bins in all your email accounts. This sounds boring, but it's surprisingly satisfying and keeps your email storage from exploding. Takes about five minutes and saves you from that panic when your storage is suddenly full.
Give your devices a proper nap.
Completely shut down your computer, phone, and tablet. Not sleep mode. Full shutdown and restart. Your devices need a reboot just like you need a good night's sleep. Plus, this is when any necessary updates will pop up, so you can handle them during downtime instead of when you're trying to work.
Deal with your digital to-do pile.
If you use any project management tools (even just Trello for personal stuff), go through tasks that didn't get done this week. Don't let them sit there being overdue forever. Make intentional decisions about when and how you'll actually tackle them. Either reschedule them properly or admit they're not that important and delete them.
Process your one notebook.
Okay, this one's not digital, but it's part of my weekly wrap-up. I go through my notebook and move important info to its proper digital home. If you're drowning in multiple notebooks and scraps of paper everywhere, you need to hear about my One Notebook system.
Digital clutter might be invisible, but it absolutely affects your stress levels and productivity. Spend 20 minutes once a week on this, and you'll never again be the person frantically searching through 12,000 photos for that one screenshot you took three months ago.

- TOP Student Planner Waitlist!

If you've got a middle school, high school, or college student who's constantly stressed about assignments and living in last-minute panic mode, The TOP Student Planner might be exactly what they need. This isn't just another cute planner—it actually teaches students how to plan effectively with comprehensive training that shows them the system behind staying organized.
What I love about this approach is that it gives students real skills they can use for life, not just a pretty place to write down homework. The waitlist is open now, and early birds get $10 off plus free shipping, which is pretty awesome-sauce if you ask me. - The Joy of Missing Out by Tanya Dalton

Tired of feeling behind before your feet even hit the floor in the morning? "The Joy of Missing Out" by Tanya Dalton is going to be such a relief to read. This isn't another book telling you to hustle harder or find more hours in your day, it's the complete opposite.
Tanya shows you how doing less is actually more productive because you're focusing on what truly matters instead of spinning your wheels on busy work. What I love about her approach is that she helps you build your own operating system based on your actual life and priorities, not some cookie-cutter productivity method that worked for someone else.
